I'm re-posting this ad with the date and time: Saturday, September 6th, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., which I forgot to include with my first posting.
Gain insight into the fascinating natural histories and field identification techniques for local "herps" (amphibians and reptiles), while we explore two of Montpelier's ecological jewels: Hubbard Park and North Branch River Park, which play host to a diverse assemblage of salamanders, frogs, turtles, and snakes.
We'll meet in the Hunger Mountain Coop's Community Room. Children and families are welcome. $10 Member-Owners/$12 Non-Members/$5 for Children. Please pre-register with the coop at 802-223-8000.
Wear appropriate footwear for trail hiking and visiting aquatic habitats (vernal pools and beaver ponds). Boots are best.
Please feel free to contact me for more information. Thank you.
