Its that time of year again to help stock up the Hinesburg Food Shelf and The Little Free Pantry! Department members will be collecting non-perishable foods at Lantman's and The Fire Station on Saturday November 4th. The Food Shelf is looking for these perishable items:
Canned Chicken, 5oz – 12oz
Canned Bake Beans, 16oz
Flour, 2lb bags
Hearty Soup, 16oz – 19oz - low sodium / low fat is a hit with those who have dietary restrictions
Salad Dressing, 8oz – 16oz - plastic bottle please
Ketchup, 20oz – 32oz
Skillet Meals, 6oz – 8oz - to be used with ground meat or tuna
Jam /Jelly, 16oz - 20oz - other than strawberry and grape**
**As much as we love homemade, we are not permitted to give out food without a label listing all ingredients.
Cranberry Sauce, 14oz
Instant Mash Potatoes, 20oz - 24oz box
Canned Gravy, 10.5oz – 12oz
Stuffing Mix, 6oz
Cake Mix or Brownie Mix, 15oz – 18oz
Canned Frosting, 16oz
Quick Bread Mixes, 14oz – 18oz
Corn Muffin Mix, 8.5oz – 12oz
Canned Veggies, 16oz - Green beans, Corn, Creamed Corn, Peas
Canned Fruit, 16oz - Peaches, Pears, Pineapple, Mandarin Oranges
White Rice, 1lb bags
Rice Pilaf, 6oz - 8oz - nothing too spicy
