An exciting concert titled "Full Circle", a collection of old and new works will be performed Saturday to celebrate the start of its 20th concert season for the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra. We are composed of players from this area, and will return to the Town Hall Theater on Saturday, October 14th, at 7:30pm and the Grace Congregational Church in Rutland on October 15th at 4:00pm in our Fall Concerts series.

The program will begin and end with two works the CPO performed on their very first program twenty years ago - Mozart's Overture from the Magic Flute and thrilling final movement of Mendelssohn's "Reformation" Symphony No. 5. There will also be personal reflections of the past 20 years from members of the CPO on why this is such a special organization.

The program will also include variations on a Shaker Melody (Appalachian Spring) by Aaron Copland, a truly unique experience with The Unanswered Question by Charles Ives, a movement from the first symphony premiered by female composer, Amy Beach, and a composition by an Afghan Refugee living in New York City.

Tickets are $15 general, $10 seniors, 60+, and $5 students at the door or at townhalltheater.org. For more information please visit www.champlainphilharmonic.org.
