Award-winning musician and farming activist Robert Mirabal will headline a series of events at Chandler on Saturday.
From 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, he will lead a community conversation with local Abenaki farmers about sustainable farming practices. A community potluck will follow; if you are able to bring a dish to share, please do so.
At 7:00 PM, Mirabal and the Rare Tribal Mob will present flute songs, tribal rock and dance, and traditional stories. Mirabal has twice been named the Native American Music Award's Artist of the Year and has received the Songwriter of the Year award three times. He was featured in the Grammy-Award-winning album Sacred Ground.
