Join us at Jericho Town Library for another Early Release Day Crafternoon!

Wednesday, 10/11, 1-2:30pm, Crafternoon: We will craft bookmarks and finger puppets using colorful autumn leaves! A light snack of clementines, goldfish, and pretzels will be available. Children age 9 and above may attend unaccompanied, while younger children should be accompanied by an adult. If possible, try to register so we can make sure we have enough snacks: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScHSbThTpVrNxwFtjN2lcwyrSVhL1QpuTFfNzMt26-q4h6lqA/v[...]ink

Thursday, 10/12, 9:30-10am, Storytime Yoga: Half an hour of songs, stories, and games. This movement-based storytime will involve kid-friendly adaptations of common yoga poses and will end with a bubble dance party. The program is designed for toddlers and preschool students, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Thursday, 10/12, 10am-12pm, Playgroup: Head to the second floor for some unstructured fun. Explore our toy collection and make new friends! Intended for kids 5ish & under and their grown-ups.

Thursday, 10/12, 3ish-4ishpm, Crafternoon: Come make jewelry at JTL! Kids ages 9 & up are welcome to attend without an adult.

*NO ROMP & RHYME ON SATURDAY, 10/14*

Monday, 10/16, 7-9pm, Scam Jam at the Community Center: An AARP Fraud Prevention Talk for adults

Saturday, 10/21, 9am-10am, Romp & Rhyme: A baby storytime, followed by coffee and conversation for the adults. Intended for babies and their caregivers! We'll have stories and songs, lap bounces and bubbles, and a reading of a short board book. The storytime itself will last 20-30 minutes, after which you're welcome to stick around for coffee, tea, and some adult conversation.

Saturday, 10/21, 1-2:30pm, Cookbook Club: This potluck-style program will highlight different cookbooks in our collection and introduce us all to new favorites. For our first meeting, we simply ask you to bring a favorite dish to share with the group. Although we will have disposable plates and utensils, we welcome you to bring your own to reduce waste. Don't forget your storage containers; all food must leave the premises at the end of the program! Register here: https://forms.gle/BAtcKJRstbtouu9D6

Wednesday, 10/25, 3:30-4:30pm, Family Book Club: Each month, we encourage kids and their adults to read the same book and then come to the library to discuss it over snacks. You can read the book together, listen to it as an audiobook, or each read the book on your own. Kids of all ages (and their adults) are welcome to attend, but we will be selecting books marketed to kids in grades 3 to 6 (ish). This month, we will meet on the 2nd floor of the library to discuss The Lost Library by Rebecca Stead and Wendy Mass. No pressure to read the entire book ahead of time, but please note that there might be spoilers during our discussion! Contact Catherine (catherine@jerichotownlibraryvt.org) for help locating a copy of the book. Register here: https://forms.gle/iYgFAfcuope482QbA
