The Weybridge Energy Committee is hosting a Button Up – Vermont Worksop on Wednesday, October 18, at 7:00 PM, at the Weybridge School. Whether you have wondered about weatherizing or installing heat pumps in your home, or have already done some of this work and want more info – this hour-long session is for you!
Maybe you have seen notices in FPF about on-line webinars about weatherization, which are excellent. But this hour-long meeting will be our own, in-person gathering. Everyone is welcome, not just Weybridge residents.
Members of the Energy Committee and Rick Snappy of Neighborworks Heat Squad will address the science around heat loss in homes, and why insulation and heating are more effective than new windows. We'll go over the steps to buttoning up your home, and give information about cold climate heat pumps, plus the incentives and tax credits available from our utilities, the State of Vermont, and the US Government. RSVP to RSVP to energy@townofweybridge.org. Or else, just come!
