The Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department welcomed a brand-new fire engine to their station this month. This coming week, it will be placed "in service" as the first-due fire engine for Pawlet, replacing an engine that has served the community for over 26 years. The department plans to mark the occasion with a brief ceremony at the Pawlet firehouse, 155 Rt. 133, at 3pm on Sunday, October 15th. The public is invited to join in, and firefighters will be on hand to show off their new truck. Come join us to welcome the new engine to our community, celebrate this milestone for our department, and check out the new truck up close!
