Join Solaris Vocal Ensemble as we kick off our new season and our 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 21 at First Unitarian Universalist Society in downtown Burlington.
This concert is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door. In recognition of the difficult times many Vermonters are continuing to experience, all donations collected from this performance will go to VT Flood Response & Recovery Fund.
In addition to Solaris, this concert will feature several special guest choirs, including the Aurora Chamber Singers, Bella Voce Women's Chorus, Counterpoint Vocal Ensemble, the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington Choir and the UVM Catamount Singers. The choirs will perform individual pieces then join together to sing the rousing Mack Wilberg arrangement of "Bound For the Promised Land" as well as an exciting rendition of "May the Circle Be Unbroken" arranged by Solaris' own James Stewart. Topping off this musical extravaganza will be local favorite, Joe's Big Band. This 17-piece band's special blend of American jazz standards will cap off the night of celebration.
