CAMEO Arts Foundation and St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Northfield present:
Cameo Baroque in concert.
"The Very Versatile Telemann" celebrates the rich repertoire of J. S. Bach's most prolific contemporary, with a program featuring trio sonatas, a sacred cantata, and a sonata for viola da gamba and continuo. This is a benefit concert, the proceeds from which will go toward flood recovery efforts at Brookhaven Treatment and Learning Center in Chelsea, and Christ Episcopal Church in Montpelier, VT.
Cameo Baroque — Leslie Stroud, traverso; Beth Hilgartner, recorders and voice; Laurie Rabut, viola da gamba; and Ernie Drown, harpsichord — is committed to sharing the music of the baroque era using 17th and 18th century performance practices on period instruments.
CAMEO Arts Foundation, Inc., was formed in October of 2013 to foster collaboration and partnerships between and among organizations serving their communities and addressing human needs while at the same time strengthening the arts economy of the region and making quality live music performances available and affordable to all.
As is true of all CAF-sponsored concerts, admission is by free will offering, all of which goes to the specified beneficiaries.
