Climate and Ecology: Fall Foliage Hike

Past event
Oct 14, 2023, 9 to 11 AM

The Friends of the Mad River is excited to launch its new series, "Climate and Ecology"! Join us for a foliage hike while learning all about the ways that climate change is impacting our trees and forests. This is the first in a series of monthly outdoor adventures that focuses on how our watershed and ecosystem are changing as a result of our changing climate.

Location: Wu Ledges Town Forest, Waitsfield. We'll meet in the parking lot by the Sweet Spot.
Date: Saturday, October 14th
Time: 9 - 11 am
Bring: Shoes or boots for hiking moderate trails.
Clothing appropriate for the weather.
A water bottle and snacks.
Given our rain this year, it's always a good idea to bring along a raincoat!
Pets: Since this is a group hike, please don't bring along any pets.
Kids: Some of our future climate and ecology events will be specifically designed for children and families. The content and style of this excursion may not be suitable for people of all ages.

Please email luke@friendsofthemadriver.org to let us know if you plan to attend. You can also contact us with any questions or concerns.
