Changing Times and Seasons
A solo exhibition by Karen Winslow @winslowartstudio
Winslow Art studio was established in 1979, in Cambridge, Vermont. Since that time, Karen and Jack Winslow have been producing and selling some of the finest Classical Realist paintings in Vermont, including: still life, floral, plein air, landscape, and portrait. In addition to painting in oils and watercolor/gouache, they produce had-pulled intaglio (etchings and drypoint) on their 50 year old Charles Brand etching press.
For the month of October, the Sugarhouse Gallery, which is part of Visions of Vermont Fine Art on Main Street in Jeffersonville, VT, will be exhibiting paintings and etchings by Karen Winslow. This is her first solo show, since 2019, when the Sugarhouse Gallery hosted her Face to Face exhibit, displaying 100 portrait studies from life.
The show opens October 7th, as part of the Fall Foliage Festival weekend on Main Street. If you are the area, stop in to see the show, which fills the entire building! Karen will be doing a still life painting demonstration from life in the Sugarhouse Gallery, starting around 1 pm. The reception is from 11- 5pm. Throughout the month, Karen will be painting demonstrations (still life and plein air) in and around the gallery.
I strive to create work that shows timeless beauty, using time-honored craftsmanship, as I celebrate and reflect on changing times and seasons in Vermont, and in our lives.
