Join local residents and national design experts (Utile) on Friday, October 20 from 2 – 5 p.m as we explore local options for "missing middle housing" as part of the "Vermont Homes for All" project (accd.vermont.gov/homesforall)
Through a competitive application process, Middlesex was selected as one of five pilot communities that will be featured in the Vermont Homes for All Toolkit. The goal of this project is to develop home design prototypes and helpful resources for community members interested in small-scale, infill housing such as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), multi-family dwellings, and other creative housing solutions. Adding this type of housing is one way to provide more affordable home options here in Middlesex.
The event will start with a community presentation at 2:00 pm at the Middlesex Town Offices and will be followed by a tour of various properties across town where we'll speak directly with Middlesex residents interested in adding infill housing options on their land. Join for the presentation, the tour, or both. Your participation will help develop some design options and ultimately, improve the supply of missing middle housing in Vermont.
