Once again this year, our Green Mountain Club team, the BREAD LOAF LOAFERS, is raising funds for Long Trail Day! Due to flooding in Vermont this year, the Green Mountain Club has rescheduled Long Trail Day to October 7th. This Saturday our Bread Loaf Section of GMC will be leading three hikes on the Long Trail and celebrating after the hikes at a local brewery. Hikes are 5.5 miles, 8 miles and 13 miles in length, see details in the website calendar:

This year we are dedicating our efforts to Jan and Harris Abbott, long-time members of the Bread Loaf Section. Our Section maintains the Long Trail from Sucker Brook Shelter to Emily Proctor Lean-to with our trail crew and the help of many individual maintainers. We are proud to help the Green Mountain Club maintain the trail system and appreciate all the work of GMC. Donations will be accepted until October 20th!!
