SolarFest is at Grace Church in Rutland on Saturday October 28!
"A Climate of Change - Preparation & Action for Our New Future", this one-day fest is a concise re-schedule of the July weekend in Brandon that was cancelled by the flooding.
MUSIC from 4:30 pm-10 pm
WORKSHOPS from 11 am-4:30 pm
Exhibitors and demonstrations throughout
Food trucks and refreshments all day
Dar Williams is the featured performer of the evening, with five other acts: Pamela Means, Gammy Moses, Lara Herscovitch and the Highway Philosophers, singer/songwriter Louise Mosrie Coombs, with the Ray Vega Band closing the night.
During the day: a full roster of workshops on renewable energy and community building, such as: Renovating to Net Zero; Heat Pumps and the Resilient Future Grid; The Basics of Solar & Batteries. Pawlet author Eve Schaub will present on her funny and sobering latest book, "A Year of No Garbage", and Dar Williams on her "What I Found in a Thousand Towns".
Tickets are $10 for the workshops; $30 for the entire day/evening.
