What are you doing on this rainy Saturday? Join your neighbors for Community Day at the Essex Middle School! We have brought the warmth and sunshine INDOORS to enjoy some great musical performances by Sky Blue Boys and Ryan Sweezey, entertainment by Alyx the Magician, and beginner SALSA dancing. There are over 50 vendor booths on site, including food trucks! Line up under tents for your food and bring it indoors to dine inside. Touch-a-Truck will take place as you enter featuring vehicles and equipment from Vermont Army National Guard, CCR Sales and Service, Essex Fire Department, Essex Public Works, Essex Rescue, and Essex Police Department. There will be a StoryWalk from Essex Free Library, Kids Craft Corner with Resy Rex, face painting, and other games to entertain. Enjoy apples donated by Chapin Orchard and buttered popcorn from Essex Cinemas. The day will end with baking and photo contest awards, raffle drawings, and the Giveaway EXPLORaganza - over $4,600 in donated prizes from Essex businesses.
