Tuesday, October 3rd -7-8pm - Next up in the Fall Author Talks Series is Roger Watters.
Roger has generously donated four of his books to the Cabot Public Library and they will be available to borrow following his talk.
Roger Watters deftly weaves humor, curiosity, and contemplation together in his poetry. Whether he's observing the natural world or the many qualities and quirks of people, he always does so with appreciation and unwavering compassion. Though his detailed and inquisitive poems are often reflective, they never get mired in nostalgia, but keep looking ahead--to hope, to the future, to the next quietly awe-inspiring event waiting around the corner.
Simple Thoughts is Roger's sixth book of poetry. He started writing shortly after returning from Vietnam, and From the Avenues of the Mind was his first collection. Toothpick Forest, a combination of poetry and short stories was next, followed by Stationary Witness, Who Stayed, and Voice of My Pen.
See you at the library!
