The "Green Mountain Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (GMRPCV)" along with others is sponsoring a bicycle collection for "Pedals for Progress" (www.p4p.org) . Used and unwanted bicycle are being collected to ship to poor and needy people in third world countries such as Ghana, Costa Rica, Uganda, Nicaragua, etc. We ask for a $10 DONATION with each bike to help defray the cost of shipping. All donations are tax deductable. We are also looking for donations of sewing machines in working condition. As you can imagine a bicycle can be a vitial source of transportation for people in a third world county. A sewing machine can be a source of income for a family struggling to get by. The collection will be at "Paul's" car wash, main street, Fairfax, VT from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, Sept. 13th. Any question, please call Bob Thompson at 881-6629.
