Bennington Community Theater is pleased & proud to present "Players", a theatrical trilogy by local playwright Bob Sugarman. The play looks behind the scenes of actors & playwrights in a humorous & thought-provoking way that will appeal to all audiences. This play was originally & successfully staged by Oldcastle Theatre Company in 1984.
Since 1950, Bob has been a stage manager, an actor, a director, an author, a teacher, & a playwright, with multiple plays produced by a number of Equity theatres. He's taught acting & playwriting at 4 colleges, including Bennington College, & has directed plays at all 4.
His longevity & body of work are being celebrated by BCT, with our version of a lifetime achievement award: "Celebrating A Life In Theatre." He doesn't know about this surprise part, so please don't tell him!
