Join us this Saturday October 7th at 10am for Art on the Trail, a FREE gathering to explore the world of nature and art journaling. BTN Artist-in-Residence Charon Henning will be teaching about how including human activity and additions to the natural landscape can be an amazingly informative addition to a nature journal. Journalers will meet between 9:45am and 10am at the bandstand on the green, then head down to the head of the Coffin Factory Loop. There is limited parking at the tail head as well. From there the group will venture up onto the Riverside Trail to spend time where the old cars are stacked. The reasons they are there will be discussed and the ways they can be observed and documented in images, words and numbers will be explored and practiced. At 11:30am journalers will pause to check in and share journals if comfortable doing so. This is a fantastic way to connect with nature in Bristol and slow down as you spend time on the trail, closely observing the wonders that are all around you. This event is FREE, but please email Charon at oddangelllc@gmail.com to RSVP so we know how many journalers to expect. We will have some materials to share but we recommend that you bring a sketchbook with pens and/or pencils to begin your journal. We look forward to getting outside and sketching with you!
