Attention all golfers, especially those who want to make a difference in our community! Here is your chance to have fun while supporting Free Wheelin', a service which provides free rides to seniors and others in our valley who lack transportation. Woodchuck Golf in Waitsfield is holding a fundraiser and you are invited to participate. The 2023 Woodchuck Golf Lower the Hazard tournament will be held on Saturday October 7th. Here's what Spencer Potter, generous owner of Woodchuck Golf says about the event:

"This is the club championship, individual stroke play, no breakfast ball, no gimmies, no mulligans.
Groups of three tee off on the hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it takes about one hour to play.
I will need to enter the tee times, so you will need to let me know when you want to play.
To view open tee times, use https://tinyurl.com/2023TeeTimes. If you sign others up, I will need their names and emails."

"This is a fundraising tournament for Free Wheelin, a homegrown transportation service serving the four towns (Waitsfield, Warren, Fayston, Moretown) of the Mad River Valley (https://www.mrvfreewheelin.org). Think about how difficult life would be without transportation."

"The fee is $50 per player. You can make your donation to Free Wheelin online or by check."

"Players and a guest are invited to the closing dinner that evening (included with donation to Free Wheelin'). Drinks on the patio will begin at 5 p.m.-ish. Dinner, whenever it is served. We will have pork loin and salmon. Lowering the hazard after dark."

"This has been a difficult season with all of the rain. Please help me celebrate the end of the season by playing in the 2023 Lower the Hazard Tournament on Saturday October 7th and attending the dinner afterward."
