After the Marshfield Fall Foliage Festival, join naturalist and Conservation Commission member Bradley Materick for a short field walk to Bailey Pond to learn about the resident beavers and their influence on our landscape. We'll view the beavers' constructions, talk about their behavior and ecology, and discuss their important role in water quality and flood resilience. And if we're lucky, we may even meet the beavers themselves!
Where: We'll meet at the Conservation Commission table at the Marshfield Fall Foliage Festival (Old Schoolhouse Common, 122 School Street, Marshfield)
When: Sunday, October 1st - 3:00 - 5:00 PM (after the Fall Foliage Festival)
Logistics: We'll drive our vehicles up to Bailey Pond (about 2 miles), and from there we'll be walking a very short distance (less than 1/4 mile)
If you have any questions, please email or call Bradley Materick (jbmaterick@gmail.com - 802-578-3050).
