Did you know that October is domestic violence awareness month? Join us for this presentation with facilitator Laura Valastro (Education and Prevention Advocate of Steps to End Domestic Violence) to increase our awareness.

Domestic Violence 101 is an overview of intimate partner violence. Participants do not need to have any experience with advocacy work or prior knowledge of this issue. This presentation will go over the cyclical nature of abusive relationships, the power and control wheel, the complexities and barriers surrounding survivor's efforts to get help or leave the relationship, and common myths about Intimate Partner Violence. There will be hands-on activities and opportunities for robust discussion.
