The Waterbury Stowe Fish and Game Club (WSFGC) will be hosting a hunter safety education course on October 14, 2023 from 8 AM to 5 PM. This is a great class for anyone and everyone of any age in a safe environment.

You must complete the prerequisite homework prior to the start of this course. You can do everything online at: https://www.hunter-ed.com/vermont/. If you prefer workbooks and manuals, you can get copies of each mailed to your home. To request a manual and workbook contact the Hunter Education program at 802-828-1193 or email them at Huntereducation@vermont.gov.
Students are encouraged to plan for approximately 20 hours to complete the homework. Students are encouraged to complete the work with a mentor, if possible.
The class will follow a field day format. We will discuss ethics, responsibility, and preparedness. We will also get lots of hands on training with firearms - handling, carrying, transportation, storage, and live fire. There will also be a woods walk where students will demonstrate proficiency in the above skills.
