Howdy and hello Hinesburg families and residents.
With Halloween approaching I thought, as a community, we could come together and help support our wonderful neighbors at Creekside and Thistle Hill by doing a Halloween candy collection.
Who: Everyone (especially residents and families who trick or treat in town)
What: donation of Halloween candy (and other non candy options if that's your jam like pencils, temporary tattoos, spider rings, etc)
Where to drop off Candy: HCRC Food Shelf during non-food shelf hours (so Monday, Tuesday until 5:00, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday starting at 12:00, Saturday and Sunday), Candy donations go in the bin in the garage at the Food Shelf. The Food Shelf is located next to the library at 51 Ballards Corner Hinesburg. http://www.hinesburgresource.org/programs.html#food
Hinesburg Nursery School vestibule (down by the entrance to the playground) or kitchen counter depending on time of day.
Twice as Nice during business hours.
When: October 1-27 at your convenience
Why: Creekside and Thistle Hill neighborhoods provide such a safe and wonderful place for the greater Hinesburg area trick or treaters to do their thing. I'd love to give thanks for the amazing work that they all do every year.
Note: if you are a resident of these highly trafficked Halloween neighborhoods be on the lookout for coordinating candy pick up and distribution. Also thank you for all that you do.
