A few months ago, a small group of opera fans in the greater Burlington area got together to launch an opera lovers group similar to one established in the Stowe area. The goal of our group is simply to enjoy opera performances together (MetHD for example) and support local opera events. To date we have over 40 email contacts.

We have our first official activity for our group scheduled for October. We have 20 tickets reserved for our group for the October 5, 2PM, Opera Company of Middlebury's production of La Traviata. The tickets cost $45.00 each. We will need to give OCM our final count for tickets by September 1, so let me know soon if you are interested. The plan is as follows:
We will carpool to Middlebury and on the way down we will have brunch at Tourterelle's ( (which is 4 miles north of Middlebury) at 10AM. This will give us an opportunity to talk about opera and get to know one another. We will then drive to Middlebury in time to participate in the pre-opera discussion at 1PM. The opera is at 2PM and after the opera we will carpool back home. Carpooling plans will be firmed up after we see who is interested in attending. Hope to hear from you.
