Town Highway #21
Sunday, October 15, 1PM
The Royalton Planning Commission is making an inventory of the town's Class 4 roads to document their condition and note their special qualities.
In order to get people's input as we plan for future uses of these roads, we are holding a series of community walks. This summer we've walked all of our Class 4 roads: Otto Merrill, Sewall Brook, Bloss-Ballou, Peperell and Lafayette! Our next walk will be on Town Highway #21, which is off Waterman Road and connects to Christian Hill Road in Bethel. (See map on back of poster.)
The TH 21 walk takes about an hour and a half. It has a some woods in the first part, then the rest is relatively easy uphill. Sturdy shoes recommended. No dogs, please. Families and kids are welcome!
If you have known the road for many years, please come and share your stories. If you're new to town, come and learn about a little-known historic road, Town Highway 21 …or just come and enjoy a walk in good company!
We'll meet at the bandstand on the South Royalton green at 1PM and figure out the ride sharing then.
