The Gardens at Yellow Barn Farm is celebrating the launch of their new composting program with a hands-on workshop and volunteer opportunity on Saturday, 9/30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Join UVM Extension Master Composter intern Bruce McDonald to learn about various methods for turning your kitchen scraps and other organic waste into "black gold" compost, then roll up your sleeves to help sort and mix materials for the newly built multi-bin compost set up at the Yellow Barn!
Please wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting a little dirty, and if you have a pair of garden shears, please bring them along! Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
