Hooked in the Mountains XVII –A Hooked Rug and Fiber Art Exhibition is back!
After a one-year hiatus, The Green Mt. Rug Hooking Guild has found a brand new location for its amazing exhibit of hooked rugs and fiber art. This year, visitors will find this amazing display of contemporary hooked rugs in The Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Champlain Valley Exposition, Essex Jct. Vt. We are very excited about this venue being fully handicapped accessible; all on one level, heated and with even more exhibit, vendor and education space.
Visitors can expect over 500 works of hooked art created by members of the Green Mt. Rug Hooking Guild. In addition, our visitors will enjoy free guest speakers and demonstrations, children’s tutorials, 20 vendors of fiber art supplies, gifts and crafts, café/concessions and 1,2 and 3 day workshops. *
Chances are high that one of your neighbors will be demonstrating or showing their work in this show. Please come and help them celebrate this new exciting venture!
The show will open to the public on Wednesday, October 15th and run through Sunday, October 19th. An Artists’ Reception and sneak preview will take place Tuesday, October 14th at 6pm.
Please note our new hours: Wed.-Sat. 10am-7pm and on Sunday, 10am-3pm.
Cost of admission is $8 adults, $6 for the “over 65” set and children under 12 are free.

*And new this year: On the weekend of the 18th and 19th ,we will be joined at the Expo by the Champlain Valley Quilt Guild’s annual Quilt Show and the Green Mt. Alpaca Fall Spectacular. Come enjoy this veritable Festival of Fiber!
