Join us as the Lamoille Valley Osher Fall Lecture serries presents Dr. Linsey Varner, Executive Director of the Rokeby Museum discussing The Robinson Family and Anti-slavery Advocacy in Vermont. She will share Rokeby's abolitionist history and the stories of the Freedom Seekers who sought self-emancipation on the Underground Railroad. The Robinson family who lived at the site were radical abolitionist and leaders in the national anti-slavery movement. They also kept good records of their activities. Thus Rokeby has been designated a National Historic Landmark as one of the best-documented Underground Railroad sites in the nation,
