Hello Community,

Shelburne Fire and the Vermont Fire Academy will conduct a training exercise with the Vermont Dept of Forests to certify our 23/24 Firefighter 1 class in wildland firefighting. 35 Students from Chittenden County fire departments will contain a *simulated fire* in the Bay Park area on Saturday, 9/23, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

We will have little to no impact, and the trails will remain open for public use. We will be flagging off the *simulated fire* on Friday afternoon and cleaning up the flagging tape on Saturday when we wrap up.

TIMING: 9/23/2023 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
LOCATION: Bay Park Trails, in the area of the town mooring dock.
EFFECTS: None, *No fires will be lit*
