Calling All Pownal Democrats!
The 2024 election year is just around the corner and Democrats throughout Vermont's towns are meeting this month to caucus.
Pownal's caucus takes place on Saturday morning, September 30 at the Solomon Wright Public Library, 97 Main Street. This is an opportunity to become involved in organizing for the 2024 election cycle, regardless of past experience. The meeting is open to registered Pownal voters who share Democratic values. Voter registration will be available.
9:45 Coffee
10:00 Caucus
The caucus will elect the at-large Pownal Democratic Town Committee. The new committee will elect its officers, as well as its delegates and alternates to the Bennington County Democratic Committee.
10:30 Program: "Rolling Up Our Sleeves: Community Involvement"
Guest speakers include Meg Staloff (Southern Vermont Economy Project) on "A Regional View: A Great Time to Get Active," and Tara Parks (Pownal's Executive Assistant) on "A Local View: Demystifying Pownal's Political Structure." Note that while the caucus portion of the meeting is partisan, the program is not and all are welcome.
