What's "Green Mountain Neighbors"?

NOTE: Each of the three towns, Mount Holly, Shrewsbury and Wallingford, is holding a separate but identical meeting for their residents. Shrewsbury will also hold a meeting on Sunday October 1, at 4 p.m. in the Shrewsubury Library.
Come join us for a FREE event at the Shrewsbury Library on Town Hill Road on Sept. 21st., at 4 PM to learn about "Green Mountain Neighbors," a new volunteer-led, nonprofit organization that is designed to help our neighbors (primarily 60 years old+) live in their homes successfully, with independence and dignity, enjoying their friends and communities.
Our plan is to deliver volunteer-led, non-medical basic services, like transportation, friendly visits, and help with shopping, while also providing social and educational community events. Green Mountain Neighbors hopes to begin delivering services in the early part of 2024, serving people from the towns of Mount Holly, Shrewsbury, and Wallingford.
WE NEED YOUR THOUGHTS AND IDEAS! We really need to hear from our communities about the type of services and events you might want! Green Mountain Neighbors will be an organization to help you and your neighbors enjoy life in your home and community, so it is critical that we get your input at this early stage of our development!
