Come out and support your local fruit growers while enjoying some spectacular local music and food at Orchard Aid on Sunday, October 1, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Retreat Farm in Brattleboro, VT. Like Farm Aid and Live Aid before it, Orchard Aid will harness the power of music and community in support of an important cause.
This past May 18th, all local orchards lost virtually their entire apple and fruit crop to a severe freeze. All ticket sales from the concert event will directly support 5 local orchards impacted by the frost: Scott Farm, Green Mountain Orchard, Dwight Miller & Son Orchard, Dutton Berry Farm, and Harlow's Sugarhouse. By banding together, the event will provide a fun, family-friendly opportunity to show support to these farmers and their value to the local economy and food system.
Talented and renowned local musicians are lining up to play and perform at what promises to be a memorable event: Zara Bodi and Stefan Amidon, Pete Bernhard (of The Devil Makes Three), Slow Pony, Peter Siegel & Friends, Madame Sherri's Bathwater Guzzlers, Jatoba, Hazelnut, and Vermont Timbre.
The entry fee is $25/person or free for kids under 12.
Local food trucks will add to the flavor and make for a fun-filled event.
