First Congregational Church of Essex Junction invites you to our next Community Concert, this Sunday, September 24, at 3pm. Come and hear the amazing Bethany Blake play organ and harpsichord! Bethany is a music historian and keyboardist committed to early music education and performance. She has a Ph.D. and D.M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook and an M.M. from the University of Michigan.
Bethany is the founder and director of Early Music Day, a collaborative event that introduces period instruments and performance practices to both university and local communities. She has been the music director and organist at FCCEJ since May 2022. She teaches music history and piano at UVM and accompanies the Vermont-based vocal ensemble Solaris.
This event is certain to be a musical treat! $20 suggested donation, under 18 are free. Tickets are available through this link: https://sevendaystickets.com/events/bethany-bl;ake-9-24-2023. A portion of the proceeds will be going to Committee On Temporary Shelter (COTS) in Burlington.
