We the trustees of the Greater Bennington Peace and Justice Center firmly support The United Nations and its upcoming International Day of Peace, Thursday September 21, 2023. This observance has been described quite succinctly by the UN's website, https://www.un.org/en/observances/international-day-peace
"Each year the International Day of Peace (IDP) is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Never has our world needed peace more."
Please join us at the Four Corners in Bennington on Thursday September 21st from 5 pm to 6:30 pm as we show our support for these important international efforts to bring an end to all the unspeakable horrors of war.
