Please feel free to join us tomorrow, September 17, 2023 at 10am, for our inaugural Agape Sunday service. (Agape—pronounced "uh-GAH-pay"—is a Greek term in New Testament scripture that denotes the unconditional love God bears for all of us and that seek to cultivate with one another.) Agape Sunday is what we're calling our experiment with a new way of practicing communion together. For this new communion service, we're gathering downstairs in our Fellowship Hall around tables to enjoy a light meal together (i.e., breakfast pastries, fruit salad, coffee, etc.).
For us, the practice of holy communion is about weaving community together and nourishing the bonds of our covenant through the fellowship of a meal. Together, we will sing simple songs, offer simple prayers, and share a simple peace. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey, you are most welcome here—whether or not you happen to call yourself a "Christian."
