Much has changed since the mid 1800s, when tourists arrived by train to the "Ridley Landing" at the corner of Camel's Hump and River roads, eager to take in the fresh air and mountain views. An inn stood for decades at the corner and as late as the 1950s there were Friday Nite Dances at Hanley's Horse Barn! Today, thanks to the generosity of the previous homeowner, Jim Hanley; the hard work of our many partners, and YOU, our members, 57 acres of beautiful land are being held in perpetual conservation for generations to come. Wear good walking shoes and join us to visit sites of interest on this beautiful and historic parcel of public land.
