Please join us for great social dancing with live music, excellent instruction and friendly people to dance with. Our next Montpelier Contra Dance is coming up this Saturday. We'll start with the usual instruction/refresher lesson, where Adina Gordon, our caller for the evening will go over some of the basics. If you are new to contra dancing, come by 7:30 so you can clean your shoes off or change them, before that session starts about 7:40. Contra dancing for everyone will happen from 8:00 to 11:00. The excellent live music for this dance will be provided by the Russet Trio, which includes Stuart Kenney on bass and banjo, Aldo Lavaggi on fiddle, and Peter Madsen on guitar. All dances will be taught by the caller!
Come to dance, as usual, at the Capital City Grange Hall, 6612 VT-12, Berlin VT 05602, just one mile south of Montpelier.
If you've been to our fun dances, consider this a reminder. If you've always wanted to try out contra dancing, we'd love to have you join us. We encourage mask-wearing by anyone who wants to (and we'll provide free masks), but we longer require masks. If you don't feel well, please stay away and join us at our next dance.
Contra dance admission prices: $12 for adults, $5 for kids & low-income folks, or be a "dance supporter" and give us $20, to help us pay the wonderful callers, musicians and sound techs for the great work they do. Choose what price matches your resources. We're happy to have everyone who comes, whatever you pay!
