Conversation on Clean Water and Climate Resilience

Past event
Sep 26, 2023, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Join the Vermont Natural Resources Council, Vermont Conservation Voters, and watershed partners for a Community Conversation on Clean Water and Climate Resilience on Tuesday, September 26th at Jenna's House in Johnson from 5:30-7:30pm, as we come together to move forward after the devastating July flooding. We'll be joined by partners at Lamoille County Conservation District and Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation. This is an opportunity for community members, experts, and legislators to share their experiences and contribute to discussions on enhancing climate resilience in our communities. Whether you have personally experienced the impacts of flooding or simply have a concern for our community, we encourage you to bring your stories and ideas to this Community Conversation. Together, we can shape a more resilient future for Vermont. One key aspect we will focus on is safeguarding our river corridors, riparian areas, and wetlands to ensure they effectively absorb floodwaters.
