Coming up Thursday on Central Vermont Community Radio: An arts episode. Bear Pond Books has re-opened in downtown Montpelier, and they're celebrating the release of Daniel Hecht's new novel. Plus Dave Keller has a new CD out, with a release party this Sunday.
9:00 - 10:00 am
Local writer Daniel Hecht is celebrating his eighth novel, and Montpelier's ongoing resurgence, after the July flood, at a party sponsored by Bear Pond Books at North Branch Café on Thursday night at 7 pm. The Body Below is a mystery set in a city with striking resemblances to Montpelier, based on a true event. Daniel will talk about the book, and what it's like to promote a book while recovery from having one's house flooded. And speaking of recovering from floods, we'll hear from Bear Pond Books about how the re-opening is going.

Local bluesman Dave Keller is releasing a new CD, It's Time to Shine, and the release party will be this Sunday, September 17, at the Plainfield Opera House at 4 pm. Dave will be in the studio to talk about recording the album in a remote mountain cabin, ten miles south of Canada, and maybe he'll bring his guitar and play a little for us. We'll definitely play a bit from the new album!
