Join Windham County Humane Society for the 21st Annual Walk for Animals! Help raise funds to provide loving care for animals in need by asking your friends, family, and colleagues to support your walk with a donation. Pledge sheets can be downloaded on the WCHS website.
The 2023 Walk begins and ends at the Brattleboro Elk's Lodge front lawn (across from the Common - please park in the Downtown Brattleboro location of your choice). Registration opens at 9 a.m., and the Walk begins at 10 a.m. (we will walk an approximately 1.5 mile loop through Downtown Brattleboro) followed by treats for both humans and pups, games, and prizes back at the Elks Lodge lawn.
This year, Walkers can look forward to:
- Live music by Hazelnuts from 10-12, providing the perfect soundtrack to the day.
- An Ask the Vet and Ask the Trainers booth - bring your questions, learn something new, and collect helpful tips and tricks
-Games! Can you guess the difference between a cookie made for humans vs. a cookie made for dogs? Can your dog sniff-and-seek out our list of hidden scents? Will we have a new champion at our Peanut Butter Licking contest?
If you can't be there in person, please join in spirit by donating. This is WCHS's only fall fundraiser!
