Come meet, eat, and sing with your neighbors! Tour the 1798 original Parker Settlement, see the archaeology dig, play oldtime games and pioneer skills demonstrations, learn about this community treasure! Bring a dish, bring an instrument (or your voice!) Fun for all ages! (An alcohol-free event.)

We are trying to raise awareness of the Parker Settlement site among ALL of the communities flanking the historic Hinman Settler Road which share the same historic heritage. The director of the Vermont Archaeological Society calls the Parker Settlement site the most significant archaeological site in the state which has not been touched by development. We are also gathering citizen momentum for a proposed walking and cross-country skiing trail which will connect the Hinman Settler Road to the Bayley Hazen Road and south to the Cross Vermont Trail for four season recreation and historical appreciation.
