Sterling College is hosting a 2-day Street Medic Training, this Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm (both days required to complete the training). Please join us!
This is a grass-roots first aid course taught by Murphy Robinson, (they/them), loosely based of Wilderness First Aid protocols with lots of radical ethics, community care, and police weapons information added in. Through lecture and hands-on role play scenarios, you will learn about:
- splinting and wound care
- medical assessment tools and techniques
- first aid for tear gas, tasers, handcuff injuries, and more
- strategy and team structure for disaster response and civil uprising
- community care ethics and radical consent practices
- herbal first aid tools
- keeping people healthy in the blazing heat and freezing cold
- and much more!
