SUMMER OF SAX AT STONE VALLEY ARTS!

Stone Valley Arts is pleased to present the classic Jazz Cafe series this Wednesday evening, September 13 at 7pm featuring the New Kanon Jazz Trio with special sax guest David Pate.

David Pate comes from the Tampa Bay/Clearwater/St. Pete area in Florida where he has performed for decades. David has had an extensive professional career as a jazz saxophonist as well as a music educator. He has performed with Tony Bennett, The Temptations, Nat Adderley, The Four Tops, The Florida Orchestra and the Sam Rivers band just to name a few. The list of musicians that he has been influenced by makes it difficult to describe his interesting and exciting approach to jazz. He utilizes extended saxophone techniques such as multiphonics, controlled overtones, circular breathing and maybe a few blues licks. David has produced several CD's and was a member of the Sam Rivers Jazz Orchestra. More information about David can be found at https://davidpate.bandcamp.com.

The New Kanon Jazz Trio has Gary Schmidt on piano, Ron White on bass and Nick Aloi on drums.

The Jazz Cafe series takes place at Stone Valley Arts on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the months June through September. SVA invites you to come out and savor an evening with high-toned live jazz music. BYOB is acceptable. A cover /donation of $10 is suggested to help support cultural events at Stone Valley Arts.
