Please Join us Sept 19th 7-8:30 at the Carpenter Carse Library for our 3rd talk in our Speaker Series on Open Dialogue, a form of couples, family, and network therapy offered at the Hinesburg Counseling Collaborative.
Open Dialogue is a powerful, collaborative approach to family therapy. The practice recognizes that clients are experts in their own lives and that clients' difficulties can be best understood in the context of their social environment. In Open Dialogue, two therapists work with a couple or family to ensure everyone's voice is heard and to facilitate new shared understandings of the present difficulties. The practice can be used with couples, families, individuals in crisis, and those with severe mental health challenges (such as schizophrenia).
Open Dialogue is used around the world and Vermont is a leader in implementing the approach in a wide variety of settings.
Come learn more about Open Dialog and how it might be supportive to you or someone you care about during an information session sponsored by the Hinesburg Counseling Collaborative.
