The restless spirits first invoked by the Eddy Brothers, the Chittenden, Vermont spiritualists who mesmerized the world with their seances in the 1870s and 1880s are coming to Town Hall Theater in October, just in time for Halloween!
The world premiere of Ryan Mangan's Second Sight recreates the thrill and mystery of these encounters with the spirit world, when hundreds of rational, intelligent observers swore they saw and touched dozens of manifested spirits. Were the Eddy brothers Vermont's greatest fraud or its greatest miracle? You'll have to come and decide for yourself.
The cast includes Michael Eaton, Evan Breault, Jillian Torres, Ethan DeWitt, Ryan Mangan, Piper Harrell, Stephen Kelly, Mary Morris, Tomas McElhaney, Leila McVeigh, Meghan Kennedy, Beth Diamond & Jon Fenner. Kim Moyer is directing.
Think you don't believe in ghosts? Think you're brave enough to sit in the front rows, close to visitors from the next world? If so, you need to get your tickets early, because those seats are going to go fast. Shows are October 19-21 at 8:00 pm, and October 22 at 2:00 pm at Town Hall Theater in Middlebury. Tickets are $18 and go on sale September 13.
