There are Treasures in the Forest after an epic summer of mushrooms. Wanna know what they are?
Please join us for a family-friendly mushroom meander to the pavilion Allis State Park with Melany Kahn, author of the first-of-its-kind children's foraging book, Mason Goes Mushrooming. On our foray we'll identify local fungi and Melany will lead an interactive Q&A under the pavilion. There, everyone will be able to touch, smell, and learn the different traits of mushrooms. A cooking demo and tasting with Melany sharing how to cook mushrooms for their delicious umami flavor will round out the afternoon. Books will be available.
