Miles for Migraine, a non-profit organization focused on improving the lives of people with migraine and other headache disorders, and their families, is pleased to announce their FREE 6th annual Burlington walk/run/relax event on September 23rd. Attendees will gather to raise awareness about migraine and headache disease and raise funds to support local headache research at the UVM Medical Center Headache Clinic.
There will be a few brief speakers immediately followed by a chip timed 5K run, an untimed 2 Mile walk or the option to come Relax with us.
Migraine impacts 47 million people in the United States (1 in 6 households), and about half of that number are individuals who are undiagnosed. The disease affects one billion people around the world and is recognized as the second leading cause of disability globally.
