Greetings!

I am excited to announce that we are kicking off Youth Group at the Congregational Church of Vergennes, United Church of Christ this Monday (9/11, 6:30-8:00 pm). In case you're wondering, we're the old brick church with the rainbow flag on South Water St.

In YG, we laugh and play games, we eat dinner, and we have conversations about what's going on at school and with friends and family. We pray and talk about our faith, too, exploring how the stories and traditions of an ancient Church speak to who we are today. We also strive to create an atmosphere where youth are accepted and loved as they are.

If there is a sixth to ninth grader in your life who you think would benefit from this gathering, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I would be happy to tell you more about our group. We are an Open and Affirming (LGBTQ+ friendly) group and love welcoming new folks.

This week we will start with a raucous game of kickball, pizza, and some games to get to know one another better. Please send me a message if your child plans to attend or you want to learn more. We are thrilled to dive into another year.
