Many of you may have attended the terrific Town Forest Summit held here in Hinesburg a few years ago. The next Summit (sponsored by the Trust for Public Land, the Northern Forest Center, and the UVM Environmental Program) will be held in Barre on Saturday, September 27, 2014. This is an opportunity to learn about the challenges and successes towns around Vermont are experiencing in managing their town forests. A highlight will be a guided walk in the recently created 355-acre Barre Town Forest.
